IPL 2020: Complete Team Squads, Captains And Full Player Lists of All 8 Teams For Season 13

While Mumbai Indians and Chennai continued to retain a core group of players, franchises like Kings Eleven Punjab, Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders roped in some major overseas T20 stars like Pat Cummins, Eoin Morgan, Glen Maxwell to bolster their existing squads.

The fierce rivalry between two of the most successful teams in IPL history will resume later in the evening when defending champions Mumbai Indians lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener later at UAE's capital city Abu Dhabi later in the evening.

The season opener will be a repeat of the finals in the 2019 edition of the tournament as Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by a single run in one of the most pulsating encounters in the history of the league.

While Mumbai Indians with four IPL titles, rightly claim of being the most successful team in the tournament history, CSK are only second to them with 3 IPL trophies in their kitty. While MI and CSK look for yet another stellar campaign to add more silverware in their trophy cabinet, the six other teams in the fray for the thirteenth edition won't make it one bit easy for them as they have the arsenal in their squads to challenge the big guns to the hilt.

The 2020 IPL auction held in Kolkata in December 2019, witnessed a major reshuffle in the squads for various franchises with the think tanks making some by way of splurging major amounts to get their combinations right.
