Peshawar Zalmi appoints James Foster as head coach in place of Darren Sammy
Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday announced the appointment of James Foster as head coach and former South African batter Hashim Amla as batting coach of the Yellow Storm for the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
"I express my best wishes for Peshawar Zalmi Management," said Peshawar Zalmi Chairman Javed Afridi.
Ex-West Indian cricketer Darren Sammy could not join the team for the first leg due to his busy schedule.
Former England wicket-keeper batter James Foster, who has previously been associated with Zalmi for two years as an assistant coach, has been appointed as head coach for PSL 7.
Meanwhile, South Africa's star former batter, Hashim Amla, will be the batting coach of Peshawar Zalmi for PSL 2022.
Apart from that, former Pakistan bowler Mohammad Akram will be the team's director and bowling coach.
Earlier, former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was named the honorary president of Peshawar Zalmi.
